A guide to documenting the origin of the funds in Fumbi

Fumbi, as a responsible corporation acting in compliance with the laws and regulations of the Slovak Republic, is very diligent when it comes to anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism activities. Therefore, it is important that you provide Proof of Funds when the deposited amount exceeds our security limit.

Act No. 297/2008 Coll. in the wording valid from 1 January 2021, gives us the obligation to identify suspicious transactions that could be related to money laundering or the financing of terrorism. Just like all other legitimate corporations, we are also required by the law to request these documents from you.

We are aware that we are requesting sensitive personal information. Therefore, please upload the documents using your secure Fumbi account and never send them via e-mail. Protection of the personal data of our clients is of the utmost importance to us.

Please provide the documents that best document the origin of your deposit.

To document the source of funds deposited by a natural person, several simple steps are required.

How to proceed:

1. Log in to your Fumbi account
2. Click the Upload document link
3. Upload the document that documents the origin of the deposited funds (for more details see below)

How to obtain a bank account statement from your bank:

The documents we are obliged to request from our users:

1. Savings

In order to verify that your savings match the amount of your investment, we will need you to upload a bank account statement for three relevant months, during which:

• you have been saving up (3 most recent months of your saving up),
• you have received money originating from a sale of a property or a different one-time income (the month during which the funds were credited to your account and the two preceding months)

Should your account statement contain outlays of a sensitive nature, you can leave the deposit amount visible but black out the remaining items. Please do not black out the income you are trying to document.

1. In your Internet banking, select the account statement option
2. Select the relevant time period of three months
3. Request the statement as a PDF file
4. Upload the statement using the Upload document button available in your Fumbi account

2. Employment

A simple way to verify the source of income is to document your salary or income from a dependent activity.
If your income originates from your employment, we will require the following:

Annual individual income tax advance settlement pertaining to a dependent activity:

• Upload the Annual settlement using the Upload document button available in your Fumbi account

or

Annual health insurance settlement

• Take a picture of or scan the settlement form received from your health insurance company
• Upload the settlement using the Upload document button available in your Fumbi account

or

Statement from the bank account to which your salary is being sent (tree relevant months):

• In your Internet banking, select the account statement option
• Select the relevant time period of three months
• Request the statement as a PDF file
• Upload the statement using the Upload document button available in your Fumbi account

3. Business activities

If the source of your income is your business activities, we need to check whether your income corresponds to the amount of your deposits. To document your income, we will require the following documents:

Individual income tax return:

• Upload the tax return using the Upload document button available in your Fumbi account

or

Annual health insurance settlement

• Upload the scanned or photographed document using the Upload document button available in your Fumbi account

If you have an income as a partner or a shareholder of a legal entity, please provide:

Resolution on the payment of a dividend:

• Upload this document using the Upload document button available in your Fumbi account

or

Annual health insurance settlement:

• Upload the scanned or photographed document using the Upload document button available in your Fumbi account

4. Assets (sale or lease)

If your income originates from the sale or lease of real estate or movable assets, in order to verify that, we will need the corresponding sales or lease agreement. Using such an agreement, we can verify that the amount of your deposit corresponds to the amount of such income. (If you have had the funds in your account for over a year, they can be deemed savings – in this case, please document them as described in clause 1 hereinabove.)

• Upload the scanned or photographed original of the signed agreement using the Upload document button available in your Fumbi account

5. Gift

If you obtained the funds as a gift, we need to verify whether their amount corresponds
to your investment with Fumbi. To document a gift, we will need the corresponding deed of gift. (If

you have had the funds in your account for over a year, they can be deemed savings – in this case, please document them as described in clause 1 hereinabove.)

• Upload the scanned or photographed original of the signed agreement using the Upload document button available in your Fumbi account

6. Inheritance

In order to verify whether the amount of inheritance matches the deposit you have made we will need one of the following documents. (If you have had the funds in your account for over a year, they can be deemed savings – in this case, please document them as described in clause 1 hereinabove.)

Inheritance settlement agreement:

• Upload the scanned or photographed original of the signed agreement using the Upload document button available in your Fumbi account

or

Deed of inheritance:

• Upload the scanned or photographed original of the signed deed using the Upload document button available in your Fumbi account
