Fumbi Index Portfolio Update – December 2022

It’s December, and our experts at Fumbi have done their quarterly update of our most popular product, the Fumbi Index Portfolio. During our quarterly updates, we add new assets with growth and technological potential to the portfolio and remove those that no longer meet our strict selection criteria.

In the second half of November, Fumbi’s investment committee met to decide which assets would be delisted during the December update and vice versa, which would be added to our portfolio. After a long discussion and re-evaluation of all risk-return factors in the current market conditions, the committee reached a consensus regarding the regular update.

It is during the difficult market conditions that the cryptocurrency market is currently facing that it is essential to reevaluate several factors and make the best investment decisions in the interest of our clients. During market downturns, the strength and stability of individual crypto projects that operate on the market are shown. The investment committee adapts its decisions to the current market conditions to always bring you the best available from the cryptocurrency market.

Which Cryptocurrencies Did We Add to the Portfolio?

We carefully analyse the current situation in the cryptocurrency market for you every day to add new assets with high growth and innovation potential to our portfolio. During the December update, we added the following asset to the portfolio:

  • Trust Wallet Token (TWT) – Management token of the non-custodial Trust Wallet. Ownership of TWT brings several benefits to investors, including the ability to vote on the development and direction of Trust Wallet.

Which Cryptocurrencies Did We Remove From the Portfolio?

Part of the portfolio update also includes the removal of cryptoassets that no longer meet our strict selection criteria. During the December update, we decided to remove one asset from the portfolio, which no longer meets the top 50 criteria from the point of view of market capitalisation and is currently recording very low network activity. The deprecated asset in the December update is:

  • Decentraland (MANA)

How Do We Choose Cryptocurrencies?

At Fumbi, we follow strict rules for the selection of cryptocurrencies that enter our portfolio. In addition to the formal criteria related to liquidity, market capitalisation or escrow, the assets must have strong fundamentals within the three categories we identify as key in the market: payment systems, decentralised finance and Web3.
