Secure Your Fumbi Account: Why Two-Factor Authentication Is Crucial
Account security and protection against increasing cyberattacks and scams are among the most important topics in today’s online world. At Fumbi, the security of your account is our priority. Hackers often target email accounts, as they serve as a gateway to other services and accounts, including investment platforms.
If an account is compromised, the issue usually does not lie within the application itself, but in an insufficiently secured email account. That’s why it’s essential to add additional layers of protection.
At Fumbi, we continuously enhance security standards to keep your investments safe. Protection starts with properly securing your account. We support two-factor authentication (2FA) via SMS codes or Google Authenticator, adding an extra layer of security.

What Is Two-Factor Authentication and Why Use It?
Two-factor authentication adds an extra protective layer that significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access — even if someone obtains your password, they cannot perform sensitive operations without your mobile device.
In addition to your password, certain actions require a one-time verification code received:
- via SMS to your mobile phone
- through the Google Authenticator app
When Is 2FA Used in Fumbi?
It is required for sensitive operations:
User enters password. If Google Authenticator is enabled, a verification code is also required.
(SMS is not used for login.)
Password Change
Without 2FA: only old password required.
With 2FA: verification code required (SMS or Google Authenticator).
Withdrawal
Requires password and — if 2FA is enabled — a verification code.
Deposit from Credits
Requires password and — if 2FA is enabled — a verification code.
Deposit outside Credits
Does not require password or 2FA.
Google Authenticator is a standalone free application that you can download from Google Play or the App Store. It is used to generate one-time security codes for two-factor authentication (2FA). It is not part of our application, but a general tool designed to enhance the security of your account. Our platform supports its use, so once you set it up, the app will generate the codes required to verify sensitive operations and log in to your account.
The application works by scanning a QR code or manually entering a setup key to add your account, which creates a unique time-based algorithm. Google Authenticator works offline, meaning you do not need an internet connection to generate codes. This feature adds an additional layer of security.
Google Authenticator is a practical and secure option that does not require a mobile network and works offline. It is one of the most widely used applications for two-factor authentication.
