Instructions on How to Demonstrate the Origin of Your Fumbi Deposits

Fumbi, as a responsible company governed by Slovak laws and EU regulations, is also conscientious in its approach to combating money laundering and fighting against the financing of terrorism. Therefore, it is important for us that you provide proof of the origin of your funds for amounts that exceed our internal limit.

Act 297/2008 Coll. delegates to us the obligation to monitor suspicious transactions that could be related to money laundering or terrorism. Every other legitimate company is also legally obliged to request these documents from you.

We are aware that this is a request for a document of a personal nature with sensitive information, so we ask that you upload this information through your fully secured Fumbi account rather than via email. Protecting our clients’ personal information is of the highest priority to us.

This article explains which documents need to be uploaded in order to be verified.

Please provide the documents that best prove the origin of your investment.

There are a few quick steps you need to take to document the sources of an individual’s finances.

How to proceed:

  1. Log in to your Fumbi account
  2. Click on the “Upload Document” link
  3. Upload a document that declares the origin of your funds (see below for an explanation regarding documents)

Documents you can use to prove the source of the funds:

1. Income from your employment

An easy way to check the source of your income is to provide proof of your salary or income from employment. If your income is from employment, we will need one of the following documents from you:

A statement for the last three months from the account where your salary is paid;

or

annual settlement of advance payments of personal income tax on dependent activities;

or

annual health insurance statement;

or

personal income tax return.

If you have submitted the documents proving the origin of your funds electronically, please also attach a confirmation of electronic submission.

2. Funds from savings

In order to check that your funds correspond to your investment amounts, we will need you to upload your bank account statement for the last three months that you have been saving (the last 3 months).

If there are sensitive expenses on your account, you can leave only the amount visible and black out the rest. Please do not black out the income you declare.

It is important to see identifying details such as the account number and name of the account holder, income and, if you are declaring savings, the account balances for each month.

3. Funds from business

If your income comes from business activities, it is important for us to check that the income corresponds with the amount of deposits. We need one of the following documents to prove this:

Personal income tax return;

or

annual health insurance statement;

or

a decision on the payment of a dividend;

  • Please upload the dividend payment decision together with the confirmation of the received transaction;

or

annual health insurance statement.

If you have submitted the documents proving the origin of your funds electronically, please also attach a confirmation of electronic submission.

4. Proceeds from the sale or lease of assets

If your income is from the sale or rental of immovable or movable assets, we will need a sale and purchase agreement, lease agreement or similar agreement to check this. This will enable us to confirm that the amounts of your deposits correspond to the amount of such income.

Upload the scanned or photographed original of the signed contract along with the receipt of the transaction.

If you have submitted the documents proving the origin of your funds electronically, please also attach a confirmation of electronic submission.

5. Funds raised by donation

If you have obtained funding through a donation, we need to check that the amount of the donation matches the investment in Fumbi. We will need a donation agreement to confirm this.

Upload the scanned or photographed original of the signed contract along with the receipt of the transaction.

6. Inherited funds

In order for us to check that the amount of the inheritance is in line with the deposits you are making, we will need one of the following documents:

Inheritance settlement agreement;

or

resolution on inheritance;

Fumbi may delay processing deposits and withdrawals until all necessary documents have been supplied and approved.
